The Presidents of Atlantic Canada’s Equestrian Sport Organizations are pleased to announce the first Atlantic Canadian Equestrian (ACE) Championships. Four disciplines of Dressage, Horse Trials, Jumper and Reining are included in these Championships being held in late summer and early fall of 2017.
This event is pivotal in the development of equestrian’s next generation of national and international athletes. Horse and rider teams will participate in qualifiers throughout the spring and summer for a hard fought place on provincial teams. The Championships will bring each provincial team together to test their skills against fellow Atlantic competitors and hope to not only win a medal but also be identified for future performance pathway initiatives on their excellence pathway of Long Term Equestrian Development.
PEI will host two of the four disciplines; Dressage and Horse Trials. “We are excited to bring together top competitors from our region and show off our super facilities right here on our island,” states Pat Uptegrove of the Prince Edward Island Horse Council. The Dressage Championship will be held at the Crapaud Agriplex on August 26th and 27th and the Horse Trials Championship will be held at the Strathgartney Equestrian Park on September 30th. Follow our progress at www.islandhorsecouncil.ca as the PEI riders work hard with their horse partners to bring home the Gold.
