The Island Horse Council recently held it's Annual Banquet and Awards Presentations. By all indications it was a very successful event substantially due to the generous support of it's many sponsors. The Planning Committee, composed of Marg Younker, Marsha Doyle and Angelia MacKay would like to thank the following sponsors and would encourage all IHC members to support these companies and individuals at every opportunity.

A silent auction of high quality, donated items will be a hi-lite of the Awards Banquet, the proceeds from which will be used for improvements to Strathgartney Equestrian Park.

Council member Marsha Doyle has made and donated a beautiful lap quilt, measuring 64" by 76". This would make a wonderful Christmas present for some lucky person.

Thank you to everyone who supported Team PEI's trip to the Canadian Equestrian Championships in Bromont, Quebec in September.
Many of you purchased tickets on the Greenhawk blanket and the draw tok place on Friday, September 30.

What an event! It was well organized and many friendships were made across the country. Teams were supporting each other which certainly demonstrated true sportsmanship.

Quebec won gold; Saskatchewan - silver and Nova Scotia - bronze.

We certainly hope that more disciplines will join the championship next year.

In an effort to avoid any legal issues which might arise as a result of an accident(s) which could occur at any show or sponsored event, please ensure that:

1. All participants have a current Island Horse Council membership card and number.

2. The name and number on the Membership Card are cross referenced with the Master List of IHC Members which is posted on the IHC Website. This list is available to all Member Club representatives on IHC for their show secretaries.
